Firmness in Resolution

There are moments when we have to ask ourselves: Who are we when everyone around us is going in the opposite direction?
To draw an answer regarding this, we can look at the story of Ibrahim. As a young man, without any formal titles, rank, or assigned leadership position, he stood up against the broader society that surrounded him.
It is easy to confuse authority with influence. Ibrahim possessed no positional power. Yet, his story is the ultimate study guide in leadership as his strength was drawn from his character, moral standard, and his ability to act as a living symbol of what he believed.
Not a moment went by that he thought to himself, “I am only one person”. As such, our truth should not be determined by popularity. True leaders do not rely on the manipulations of carrots, sticks, or social proof to define their direction.
Your leadership can inspire others because it starts with a deep, internal conviction.
Consider this: If your ‘why’ changes when it is challenged, what then is your ‘why’?
